    I’ve heard noticeable chirping noise that starts around 4k ish rpm and I can’t figure out if it’s the turbo or not. I’ve took it to Audi to get the headlights adjusted and I asked to check the engine because I’ve noticed a weird noise. They said they didn’t hear anything unusual and did a multipoint inspection. I feel like it is a bit slower than it used to be when I give it full throttle. The noise isn’t always apparent so I don’t know if it is a major issue or not. I just hit 20k miles also.

    I just bought a car with a turbo, I’m the second owner, I had a feeling something was wrong with it because I kept smelling faint smell of burning oil but it did need an oil change so my bf convinced me there was nothing wrong! Right away I got the oil change! As I continued to drive it over time I kept smelling it worse and my car was sluggish! I took in the other day and they noticed there was leaking oil but wasn’t sure where, also I had no oil in my car they said! So they filled it up and drove it to make sure she was still ok! But they did an inspection and they said she was and referred me to go back to the dealer or to someone that specializes in turbo because my leak was somewhere in the turbo. I have an appt on July 11 at the dealership for an inspection but I checked my oil today and it’s black. I called the original place I got my car inspected and told them and they said it’s normal for turbo oil to turn black right away, but I’m weary and don’t want to do any further damage to my vehicle untill I get the inspection at the dealership! Please help with advice! Someone else suggested I get a flush and oil change y till the inspection even though I still have the leak because he said it’s not supposed to be that dark but he’s not a mechanic and don’t know anything about turbo🤷‍♀️ so I need advice from some one that does know! Please help me I’m tryn to save my car! I’m not rich🙏😔

    Hi Robin, After replacing the turbocharger my car has black smoke and low power. After som research I find a very glogged map sensor. I clean the map sensor and managed to remove a lot of oil and carbon from the hull in the intake manifold. I clean the map sensor 6 time. Now I have no black smoke. The engine has low power when cold. After 15 minutes drive and the engine get hot over 80 or higher. I can stop and start again now my turbo is working. What do you think is my problem? Is my intake manifold to glogged of oil carbon that the flaps do not work as it should. Do I need a complete clean of the intake manifold? Last three days my turbocharger is working fine after 15 to 20-minute drive. Any good suggestion? Please help me

    But what if the sound you get when under load is more like a old bi-plane? Like a hole in the exhaust noise... When idling or even revving in neutral, I don't get the noise. But when I get to around 2,500rpm it gets really loud.

    Best way to fix it is to replace it with a supercharger, unless you have a diesel. You will have much better response, less heat buildup, and less junk under the hood. making it more fun to own and drive.

    I keep getting P0238. It's not the sensor or wies and no leaks. The turbo seems to be getting hot very quickly and doesn't seem to spool like normal. Not sure if the sound difference is turbo failure or cold air intake. No exhaust smoke.

    Hello Ruben .. is there a repair kit for a turbo charger .. or that a damaged turbocharger becomes beyond repair after it malfunctions .

  • @kurdsal
    @kurdsal 3 місяці тому

    Hello Ruben .. I own a 2020 hyundai Tucson 1600 cc Turbo type LT2. Almost a week ago, when my car completed 56,000.00 Km, the exhaust started blowing white smoke, by inspection I found that engine oil is almost about to end completely. i transported the car to repair service agency, they flushed the motor, filled new oil and said such will stop smoke coming out. Smoke continued like before . When they inspected the car again, they said the turbo is dysfunctional. For the reason the car was driven about 4k miles past the recommended travel after fresh last oil change, they waivered the warranty however I argued to deny my responsibility .. please note that throughout the 56,000.00 Km travel, the low oil pressure alarm never showed even once, which in itself was to me an assurance of nothing wrong happening, I told them there was no alarms at all, otherwise I would have responded immediately, but to no avail, this is the essence of conflict, how come the can never over heated and oild pressure never reported lower than it should,is this a design fault in Hyundai car... if as you say the turbo is very sensive to over speeding .. heat and oil shortage, why then it failed with me to blame but not the design of Hyundai alarm system and the thresholds thereof .

    I have seen many videos, your videos are the best and clearest about turbochargers. No doubt oil is very important for a turbocharger to work and last long time. In m case I have bought a BMW. After 20000km the turbocharger crash. When Ifollowed the service history, I found from 2015 to 2016 the car has driven over 40000km on the same oil. And from 2016 to 2017 passed over 43000km. No wonder my car has got a lot turbocharger problems. When I have a twin turbocharger in my car. I have two turbocharger the small one is high pressure and the big one is low pressure. There are two pair electronic ventils, 1 pressure converter and 1 charger pressure regulatorventil for the high pressure , 1 pressure converter and 1 charger pressure regulatorventile for the low pressure. So when my car do not accellerate in the low 900-2000 rpm the two components converter and regulatorventil may be faulty. If the turbocharger do no work from 2000 rpm and up the other pair of electronic parts are at fault. Am I right?
